Pass The Quilt

While Miss Philippines was being a dumb ass for all the world to see during the Miss Universe Pageant, real shit is happening in the Philippines. Real Pinoys are trying to take back their US-backed government in Manila.

A lot of people have no idea that there has been a civil war going on in the Philippines for the last 30-40 years. The New People’s Army (NPA) has been fighting to take back the country from the puppet government the United States has established. The United States has ultimately let the Philippines be a 3rd world country where there is a extremely big gap between the rich and poor. Over the last few decades Pinoys,like my family, have immigrated all over the world (like Saudi Arabia, US, England, Taiwan, ect) to be modern slaves to better their lives.

I think there must be a turning point where Filipinos need to ask themselves, what about our motherland? When are we going to get fed up and help our people back home? I’m not talking about sending money via Western Union or Balikbayan Boxes, but real help from the roots. Home is home even though some of us has never been there. People are hungry and living on top of trash. It’s not their fault, it’s the ugly side of capitalism - where capitalism only really thrives when there are people struggling.

I urge everybody to learn more about the civil war going on in the Philippines, research the New People’s Army and understand how has 9/11 effected the Philippines even though all the attacks have happened on American soil.
