So, I just saw this today. I only watch the “news” for noise, but this story definitely caught my attention.
I wasn’t sure how to feel about it. Yes, pissed off was my first reaction. But maybe it should be funny because this mother has his nationalities all mixed up. I don’t think Pacman’s gonna be rolling up any sushi.
Maybe I’m more disappointed that this didn’t flood the media. I am still hearing more about that hotel heir(oin)ess (yeah, she’s a coke whore, but the purse also wasn’t hers, so I’m just gonna assume she dabbles in a little bit of everything).
Mayweather’s people have “no comment.” If this was the reverse, you’d have those Reverends and the entire black community all up in arms.
News reflects the views of the news media owners. So you’ll continue to see what’s “important” and “good” (the McCourt Divorce, the cop-slapping 93-year-old actress on her deathbed, and the child actor who’s making the ankle monitor this season’s biggest fashion accessory) and crime stories will involve Blacks and Hispanics. It’s the recipe for a great block of “news.”
Eff that. How much longer ‘til Filipinos are taken seriously? When Jennifer Aniston decides to date one? Or when one of snaps and becomes the next Andrew Cunanan?

Not Sure it would be positive for this to hit mainstream media because it is tabloid. It’s slanderous nonsense that baits race insults and spreads ignorance to the vast distracted.
So, it was said, what do we do about it? Why isn’t the Filipino Community up at arms? We lack organization to educate and empress upon society our political importance. So we move on tentatively being represented by the fists of one, but without real answers for the blind rhetoric of the popular others. Manny Pacquiao put Filipinos in the mainstream spot light with his unique physical ability, but we ought to use the moment to steer the light to real issues, and tell of our contributions to society that have gone unnoticed, or shed light on aspects that are grossly misrepresented.
Flag thisPeople won’t like this…but the biggest hurt he could deal Mayweather is not to fight him…If Pac doesn’t fight him, money ‘ll be broke sooner than later.
Flag thisWas listening a fight podcast posted in the eastsideboxing.com blog. They were debating whether it was racist or not, taking apart if he meant “yellow” meaning to be coward, or food references being just boxing trash talking… I can’t believe how stupid people are. They wasted time trying to defend ignorant nonsense. Yes, it was racist…period. And it was ignorant racism at that. And that is the bigger point. The sad part is that people are trying to paint this as something else, so it can be repeated over and over again. His intentions were to degrade a people to degrade one, what the hell is there to understand in his intent? And this has nothing to do with boxing. Call a spade a spade.
