I remember being in the Philippines during December. We went place to place and it was all about block parties and Fiestas. There was food and music everywhere, and the music were covers of old songs…yes, sung by local folks. The stereotype of Filipinos and Karaoke is something that can’t be denied. If you could only see in SoCal where I went to a party and uncles brought their own Magic Mic to the party because they didn’t like the programming of the one at the party. The obsession extends to choreography. Hey, all you have to say is Dance Crews. BUT, when the Pen is trying to get in on all this…don’t we have to draw a line? Maybe not…I’d like to know how they’d even organize something like this. Do they have battles in the pen? These felons don’t look so tough. I wouldn’t test them though. I don’t think I’d fairly well being bound to the wrist with knives in a rythmic dance to Beat it. I’d imagine they’d be pretty good with knives no matter how funny the choreography is.
